Hall facilities

  • Knowle village hall is a registered charity which provides community facilities.  The nearest town is Budleigh Salterton approximately 1 mile away.
  • It is a single storey building comprising of three rooms + toilet facilities, including disabled, which is available for hire and has gas central heating. At the front of the hall we have a free tarmac car park.
  • The main hall (approximately 7.3 x 12 metres or 24ft x 40ft) is nice and bright inside with parquet flooring and a string of coloured lights down both sides of the hall
  • Entrance to the front door of the hall is by key which is in the key safe - you will be given details of the code on payment/confirmation of your booking
    • Accommodation
    • The hall can accommodate up to 180 people standing and 90 people seated
    • There are 11 small, square tables, 8 trestle tables, 42 padded chairs and 19 plastic chairs (included in the cost of hire)
    • A smaller meeting room 14ft x 10ft has a hatch way into the kitchen
    • Kitchen facilities
    • Included in part use kitchen  hire cost:-
      • Microwave, dishwasher, water heater, fridge, 2 large teapots, recycle bins, assortment of glasses, plates, cutlery and approximately 35 small mugs
    • Included in full use of kitchen hire cost:-
      • All of the above plus use of the cooker with 8 hobs and 4 ovens
    • Extra hire for parties:  Full settings for up to 40 people -  hire charge £10; or, up to 100 people hire charge £20
  • To the rear of the hall we have a large grass play area and play park for children with swings, wooden play equipment and a table tennis table.
  • We have a sound system with speakers and microphone.  Blue tooth enabled to play your digital playlists
  • We do have plenty of space for bouncy castles (see below). There is a central ceiling height of 3.24 metres.

Knowle village hall can be hired on a hourly basis from as little as £8 per hour.

Apart from the regular weekly activities, it has also been used for wedding receptions, anniversary parties and many birthday parties especially children’s. 
​Please note:- The trustees reserve the right to decline requests if we feel that an event would be unsuitable for our venue.  We are unable to accept bookings for parties that are likely to end after 10.00pm
